Listen

I cannot think of a more perfect addendum to A Million Miles in a Thousand Years. Over the past few weeks I have really been enjoying NPR’s The Human Edge series on Monday mornings. They have covered many topics: meat-eating, crying, walking, etc. But today, of all days, they covered story and the ways it makes us human. We can rewrite; we can make our story. Take a listen. (Full story and audio here.)

Village in Late Summer

ecosystemlife:

LIPS half-willing in a doorway.
Lips half-singing at a window.
Eyes half-dreaming in the walls.
Feet half-dancing in a kitchen.
Even the clocks half-yawn the hours
And the farmers make half-answers.

- Carl Sandburg
